The Rotax Mini category will make its SuperNationals debut as part of the return of Rotax racing at the Las Vegas event. The last time that Rotax was part of the SuperNationals was in 2013, when the DD2 and Junior MAX categories were included. This year will mark the fourth time that two ‘Cadet’ divisions will be offered in the same year. The first time came in 2003 with Novice 80 and Novice 60, won by Gustavo Menezes and Zach Zimmerly, respectively. The next two years were Novice 60 – or K3 as it was then known – along with Comer Cadet division. Cadet racing was removed from the SuperNationals in 2006 and did not return until 2010 with TaG Cadet.
The core statistic that stands out when looking at the 36-driver inaugural field for Rotax Mini is that there are 26 drivers who are also competing in Mini Swift. These drivers will have the opportunity to become the first Cadet driver to win twice in the same SuperNationals. Among them are two former SuperNationals winners in Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport USA) and Dutch Westbrook (Team Benik). Burgess was the RMC Winter Trophy Micro MAX champion back in 2025, while Westbrook finished fifth this year at the RMC America’s Trophy. He is among the 10 drivers who are in the field having raced at the inaugural RMC America’s Trophy program. Mason Brody (SCR / Nitro Kart) gave up the ticket to the Rotax Grand Finals to compete at the SKUSA SuperNationals. Aidan Go (Parolin Motorsport USA), former RMC Grand Finals driver Samuel Chaverri (Parolin Motorsport USA), Lucas Tarango (RPM / Nitro Kart), and Max Santana (RPG / Kosmic) all finished in the top-10 of the RMC America’s Trophy standings. Brody and Go are the only race winners in the field. Read full story on eKartingNews.com.
