Driver Count Continues to Rise for Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 20
Friday, 21 October 2016 09:52

The stage is almost set for the biggest show in all of karting as the 20th edition of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals will pull open the curtain in less than four weeks. From November 16-20, the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip will once again welcome stars from all over the globe as they arrive for the chance to make karting history and etch their names into the record books. To date, class totals are nearing the mark set at last year’s inaugural event held outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, growing to over 450 drivers with just over one week remaining in the pre-entry window.

“We’re excited to see the entries that have poured in and it makes all the hard work worthwhile,” offered Superkarts! USA President Tom Kutscher. “The classes are stacked with talent and I know that the racing is going to be incredible on SuperSunday. It’s going to look great on our CBS Sports Network shows as well.”

The window remains open to enter the historic SuperNationals 20 event. Those who still have not registered can do so by heading over to skusastore.com and get signed up before the Sunday, October 30 deadline. This is also the deadline to buy other race extras, such as practice tires. X30 Senior remains the largest class thanks to the category filling all of the 88 spots available back on October 5, although drivers who still wish to enter are urged to contact the SKUSA head office via email to get on the wait list. Micro Swift and Mini Swift are both inching closer to reaching their respective 44-driver and 88-driver caps with each passing day, while X30 Master is set to welcome a record high turnout since opening up over the 44-driver mark. With two race groups, there are still plenty of spots available for X30 Master drivers to grab. S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto continues to produce some of the most exciting racing year after year at the SuperNationals, and is set to go with a full field. The remaining categories feature high profile and talented drivers set to do battle leading up to SuperSunday.

As has already been announced, SKUSA is thrilled to have VCI Mexico signed as the title sponsor of this year’s SuperNationals. In other sponsor news, CRG is back with a major presence in the United States and they’ve partnered with SKUSA, as CRG Nordam will be the presenting sponsor of the event. Class sponsors include iKart, 3G Kart Racing, Benik Kart and PSL Karting. Companies wishing to work with Superkarts! USA during this historic 20th running should contact the SKUSA head office immediately.

“The support from the karting industry has been tremendous and they’re all getting behind the event to help make it the single biggest race in the world,” Kutscher continued. “It’s a pleasure to be working with closely with CRG Nordam, and it’s a honor to once again have CRG backing our efforts. This year’s SuperNationals is going to be incredible – we’re all looking forward to continued growth in 2017 as well.”

The SuperNationals will be aired on the CBS Sports Network in December, and there will be three separate shows highlighting all of the action. For live coverage, eKartingNews.com will once again be front and center with daily race reports and insider paddock information, and the effort will center on the industry-leading EKN Live audio play-by-play broadcast streaming all of the official sessions through to the end of SuperSunday.
