Event Preview: SKUSA SuperNationals X
Sunday, 05 November 2006 17:00
In North American karting, there are a handful of different events that normally make up a percentage of virtually everyone’s top ten list of favorite events. The one race that should be at the top of every karting enthusiast’s list in 2006, regardless if they’re racing in it or not, is the tenth annual Superkarts! USA SuperNationals, presented by BC Ethic, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. Over the last few months, there has been a buzz throughout the karting community regarding this week’s event, one which has not been felt in quite a while. Everyone is talking about this race.  Read full story on EKN

Speed and Liuzzi Out of SuperNationals X
Wednesday, 01 November 2006 17:00

Superkarts! USA has learned that the FIA (via the CIK) has advised Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi not to race in the upcoming Supernationals X in Las Vegas NV, on November 9-12. If they did, they would risk losing their FIA Superlicense, which is necessary to drive in Formula 1.  The CIK is the specialized karting commission of the FIA, the governing body of world motor sports.

Over the last several weeks Superkarts! USA has worked diligently behind the scenes to try to assure that both drivers would be able to race in the event by securing SuperNationals X a position on the 2006 CIK Calendar. That unfortunately has not happened.

Superkarts! USA is looking forward to a terrific tenth running of the Supernationals next week. With the top names in karting participating, it’s going to be a very exciting event in the history of the sport.

It’s our understanding that Scott Speed will be attending the event as a spectator and we look forward to Mr. Speed and Mr. Liuzzi racing in the event in 2007.

See you all in Las Vegas next week!
