Constructors Championship Announced

MG Tires SuperNationals XI presented by Mazda took place November 14-18 in Las Vegas, NV at Sam Boyd Stadium. The event was an overwhelming success and attracted the top domestic based and international teams the sport has to offer.  For the second year, Superkarts! USA has acknowledged the top manufacturer with the Constructors Championship cup.  Full story on EKN. Shockwave Karting Team - SKUSA SuperNationals Report

This November saw a return to the SKUSA SuperNationals by the Shockwave Karting Team. Explaining the 2 year absence was team principle Doug Welch “ With the team drivers off to college, it didn’t seem to make sense to attend an event of this magnitude without a first rate effort. So the decision was made not to attend until such time as we could put forth a first class effort.” So it was with a renewed focus that Shockwave Karting loaded the trailer and headed west to Las Vegas.  Full story on EKN

 
Team Top Kart USA - SKUSA SuperNationals Report

With the introduction of the new S5 Junior category, Team Top Kart USA and Kartel Motorsports fielded both Brendan Phinny and Taylor Miinch. Qualifying was no surprise after practice times with Brendan taking pole position for the heat races followed by Taylor. Both drivers were using Swedetech power and were the class of the field all weekend long. Brendan would start pole for the final and never look back taking a seven second victory. Unfortunately Taylor was caught up in a wreck at the start, which also took another Top Kart driver, Timmy Bachman out of the mix.  Full story on EKN

 
J3 Competition - SKUSA SuperNationals Report

Amid the dry and arid climate in Las Vegas, NV – J3 Competition completed its 2007 racing schedule at the SKUSA SuperNationals. The trip to the SKUSA SuperNationals was the first time J3’s top-tier team has made the year-ending trip to the much talked about event. J3 arrived in Las Vegas with tenth ranked ICC rookie driver Richard Benitez competing in Super Pro and a trio of TaG Senior drivers including Victor Cabrera, Cy Schumacher, and Johnny Johnson.  Full story on EKN Akiyuki Nosaka's Grave of the Fireflies is a semi-autobiographical short story based on his experiences during the 1945 firebombing of Kobe. Although Nosaka was never a prisoner in the United States, he experienced the effects of the bombing on a small Japanese town. The story is a haunting tale of survival and resilience.
