2019 NCMP Pit Spot Reservations

Reserving Your Pit Spot

As always, the toughest part for the SKUSA staff in organizing large events each year is pit layout and fitting everyone into the paddock!

This year is no different, as our SummerNationals event at New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, IN will see the largest numbers ever! ALL RACERS or TEAM OWNERS can do their part now by reserving the space they will need (as well as encouraging all drivers to get pre-registered for the event -- before their classes cap out at 44).

If you know EXACTLY how much space you will need for your pit spot, please email a complete PDF drawing (no jpg photos, please) to NEW email address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Emailed pit requests will be replied to with a confirmation upon receipt from Stan. (Patti will automatically get the emails too.)

The prices of all pit spots are as follows:
  • $.40/SF for spaces 15-159 (BLUE NUMBERS)
  • Spaces 129-159 (BLUE NUMBERS) Electricity is available at an extra cost. Contact New Castle Motorsports Park for that info, and also send your request to SKUSA with a note per the directions below
  • $.30/SF for spaces 160-192 (RED NUMBERS)
  • $.20/SF for spaces 193-263 (BLACK NUMBERS)
  • $400 for RV spaces RVE-1 to RVE-15 (20x50’ with power) (SOLD OUT)
  • $200 for RV spaces RV-6 to RV-19 (20x50’, no hookups)
  • $175 for RV spaces RV-1 to RV-5 (20x40’, no hookups – see map, left side)
  • $50 to Camp in your Toy Hauler/Trailer -- PLUS the pit space cost
  • $25 for trailer storage within the facility
The above prices are for you stay on site for the week of SummerNationals only (8/6 thru 8/11). For the cost of pit and RV spaces for events prior to 8/6 or after 8/11, please contact New Castle Motorsports Park for additional information. However:
  • For those who choose to attend the Great lakes PKC regional event race the weekend before, SKUSA will work with New Castle Motorsports Park to do their best to assure you have the same space for both events. Obviously, this requires you to submit your pit request early, and with this request in writing, in order to be accommodated. Pit requests received after 7/25 will not be able to reserve a space for both events and will be expected to move to a designated staging area for pitting starting on 8/6. NO EXCEPTIONS!
NOTE: As always, the event and class sponsors will receive priority pit spot placement, so be sure to note on your pit request if you are a confirmed sponsor, or send an email immediately to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you’d like information on becoming one.

Superkarts! USA and New Castle Motorsports Park will do everything possible to assure that you can retain your space for your entire stay of multiple events. However, there are NO GUARANTEES.

The paddock area will be rows of pit spots 10’W x 50’D and 10’W x 40’D, so your drawing should reflect multiples of these areas. Please also specify your top 3 choices for the pit spot locations you prefer (i.e., 23-27, 133-136, etc), based on the pit map posted below. We will do our best to accommodate you.

YOU WILL BE CONTACTED SOON FOR PAYMENT. PLEASE DO NOT CALL!
SEND EMAIL to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ONLY IF YOUR SPACE
REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT CORRECT OR IT IS A NEW REQUEST.

Here are THE ITEMS TO INCLUDE ON YOUR PIT REQUEST DRAWING:
  • Full layout – with dimensions in feet – of your total pit area. PLEASE BE EXACT, AND DO NOT REQUEST MORE SPACE THAN YOU TRULY NEED. You will probably NOT be able to add space when you arrive. NOTE: The only electrical outlets active in the pits for this event will be for pit spots 129-159 and RV spaces RVE-1 thru RVE-15. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Include space for trailer tongue, pull out generators and trailer doors (side and rear). Allow room to get the karts or other materials in and out of the doors.
  • Assume that three sides of your pit spot are fixed positions with no access. Show us how you plan on entering and exiting your pit space with your kart(s) – in relation to the pit runners shown on the map.
  • Include where tents will go, trailers, E-Z ups, VIP area, etc. NOTE: Toy Haulers will be allowed in the pits; however, if you are camping in it, a $50 camping fee will be charged in addition to the cost of the pit space. All other campers/RV’s will need to be parked in the designated RV area – NO Exceptions! See below for more info about overnight camping.
  • Tell us whether or not you’ll be renting a tent, bringing your own, or both (with notes on your drawing). See below for vendor info. Please note: your pit spot must accommodate an extra 5’ feet around your tent for the stakes.
    • NOTE: a 20x20’ tent does not fit in a 20x20’ space, allow room for the way you will secure it. Also, the generator or air conditioner you rented does not reside in the fire lane behind your pit space. Your slide-out generator, exhaust pipe, and trailer doors all must be contained within your designated pit space!
  • Include a team name and a list of the drivers that will be pitting in the spot. NOTE: Please send your pit map when it is absolutely final. All drivers MUST be registered for the race before SKUSA will confirm your pit spot location. In the event that there are multiple teams in one pit area, a designated team manager/ representative must be named as the person responsible for tent and trailer placement. We will NOT park teams on site unless and until ALL trailers are present -- or unless the team manager is present (this is the only exception).
  • Teams that want to guarantee they are pitted next to or near each other MUST submit their pit request as ONE COMPLETE REQUEST to SKUSA all together with a specific note on each section of the drawing, initialed by person submitting the request telling us that preference. NOTE: Following this process will allow us to achieve this goal, but may reduce the ability to fulfill specific locations due to size. If this is being requested by a sponsor, the sponsor must submit the request and be responsible for the entire pit invoice. We will do our best to accommodate.
  • Include on BOTH your drawing and the email message your contact name and best daytime contact info -- phone and email address (mobile number, PLEASE! Not just shop number).
  • Please add a note to your pit request with your arrival date.
  • NOTE: NO passenger vehicles will be allowed in the pits, so please do not include them in your layout. Pit space is at a premium!
  • VIP parking will be available to sponsors (2 vehicles per team). Passes can be picked up at Registration.
We will be in touch within 24-48 hours of your emailed request to confirm that each pit spot reservation submitted has been received. Then we will contact you and secure payment with you when we have you placed on the pit map.

An additional fee for set-up may be required by the tent company, so talk directly to them about your tent needs. NOTE: You will want to confirm your pit size and location with the SKUSA office prior to finalizing your tent rental, although it’s a good idea to check tent availability, space requirements and pricing right away in order to submit the most accurate pit layout. THEY ARE ALSO THE EXCLUSIVE VENDOR FOR RENTAL ITEMS LIKE TABLES, CHAIRS, AND FLOORING FOR YOUR PIT SPOT. Please contact them immediately with any needs for these items.

Schedule

Pit move-in will be handled per the schedule posted and must be completed by the end of the day Thursday 8/8, as official practice starts Friday morning 8/9 at 8:00am. Some teams may arrange to park early, if in town for testing or racing prior. Again, please add a note to your pit request with your arrival date. Move-out will begin Sunday night 8/11 after the final CHECKERED FLAG, but preferably after the final podium presentation. All trailers will need to be out of the pits by end of day Monday, 8/12. Rental tent install will begin prior to the arrival on site of those customers. Tent tear-down: Monday, 8/12.

Trailer Storage

If you have a trailer that will be used for transporting karts and equipment only, and does not need to be parked inside of the pit area, there will be a $25 fee (to SKUSA) to store it in a secured outer lot of this facility. See you in New Castle!
