  • Feb 21, 8:30 PM - X30 Senior is now sold out and X30 Junior is not far behind.  In order for us to justify expanding one of the two classes it's imperative you submit a registration to get on the Waitlist. Stay tuned to this website and our Facebook for the latest updates.
  • Feb 20, 10:00 AM - ATTN: X30 JR & SR DriversAs we near capacity in both classes we might again have to make the hard decision on which class to split if any. We will have about 30 minutes less daylight than Florida so the chances of magically splitting both classes is slim. The only way to guarantee your spot is to enter NOW to avoid being put on the waitlist of a class we can't split.

SKUSA Pro Tour

2019 CalSpeed Pit Spot Reservations
As always, the toughest part for the SKUSA staff in organizing large events each year is laying out and fitting everyone into the pits!

This year is no different, as our WinterNationals event at Cal Speed Karting center in Fontana, CA will likely see the largest participation yet for a Pro Tour weekend! ALL RACERS or TEAM OWNERS can do their part now by reserving the space they will need (as well as encouraging all drivers to get pre-registered for the event – before their classes cap out at 44).

Due to the size of this event and the unique variety of pit spot dimensions available, you will need to be exact in your pit request.

SKUSA has no option but to round up to the next space for those who have irregular space requests.

If you know EXACTLY how much space you will need for your pit spot, please email a complete drawing (as a PDF -- no phone pictures, please) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ASAP.

Emailed pit requests will be replied to with a confirmation upon receipt.

NOTE: The event sponsors will receive priority pit spot placement, so be sure to note on your pit request if you are a sponsor, or if you’d like information on becoming one.

Updated 2/21/2019

What to include on your pit request and what to include on your drawing:

  • Full layout – with dimensions in feet – of your total pit area. PLEASE BE EXACT, AND DO NOT REQUEST MORE SPACE THAN YOU TRULY NEED. You will probably NOT be able to add space when you arrive.
  • Include where tents will go, trailers, E-Z ups, VIP area, etc.
  • Include space for trailer tongue, doors, tip outs, exhaust pipes and canopies.
  • Assume that three sides of your pit is a solid brick wall and the forth side is the fire lane.
  • Based on the pit map at the link above, please give us your top 3 PREFERENCES for your location of a pit/camping spot.
  • Include a team name and a list of the drivers that will be pitting in the spot. NOTE: You can send your pit map when it is absolutely final; however, all drivers MUST be registered for the race before SKUSA will confirm your pit spot location.
  • In the event that there are multiple teams in one pit area, a designated team manager/ representative must be named as the person responsible for tent and trailer placement. We will NOT park teams on site unless a desiginated team manager is present or until ALL trailers are present.
  • Teams that want to be pitted next to or near each other MUST submit their pit requests to SKUSA as one complete request combined and define one person as to whom the invoice is to be sent.
  • Include your contact name and best daytime contact info on your drawing (phone and email).
  • Tell us whether or not you’ll be renting a tent, bringing your own, or both. See below for vendor info.
    • NOTE: a 20x20’ tent does not fit in a 20x20’ space, leave room for water barrels!
  • We will be in touch to confirm each pit reservation submitted, and will secure payment with you when we have you placed on the pit map.

Rental Tents

  • Choura Events is the exclusive tent rental company. Please contact Howard Tabackman at 310-606-1491 for pricing and availability.
  • If you are renting a tent from Choura, please indicate so on your pit layout drawing, so that we can confirm installation.
  • Tent installation is Monday 2/25 and Tuesday 2/26
  • Tear Down is Monday March 4th

Rules Regarding Motorized and Non-Motorized Vehicles at this Event

In compliance with Fontana Motorspeedway, there are NO motorized vehicles (i.e., golf carts, pit bikes, scooters) allowed on the premises for this event, PERIOD! In addition, due to the number of attendees expected, SKUSA is not allowing non-motorized vehicles moving in the pits during move-in, move-out, or while karts are moving on track. The only exceptions will be engine builders, SKUSA staff, and handicapped individuals with an official placard or doctor’s notice. See Patti in Registration for a special pass (which must be attached in plain sight to avoid confiscation of the prohibited vehicles until the conclusion of the event). Handicapped parking is offered next to registration. See Patti for directions.

Pit/Paddock Rules

  • Tires and fuel cans CANNOT be put into trash containers on site. Please take ALL tires and fuel cans with you. Monetary fines will apply for violators.
  • Clean up your pit thoroughly upon move-out – including cable ties, cigarette butts, all trash, all spills. Fines will be charged for excessive trash clean up and fuel/oil spills.
  • All pits must have a fire extinguisher – one for every 400SF of pit area (min 5lbs, type ABC) – that is visible and accessible at all times. SKUSA rules also require a 20-lb fire extinguisher for each trailer over 20-ft in length.
  • No staking of tents into the asphalt; no fuel spills on the asphalt. NO EXCEPTIONS!

General Pit Information

  • Pit move-in will be 10am to 6pm on Tuesday 2/26, starting with Big Rigs. Pitting will continue on 2/27 and 2/28 from 8am-6pm.
  • Early-bird Registration check-in begins on Wednesday from 2pm-6pm.
  • Kart Track gates open at 7:00am on Friday and 6:30am on Saturday.
  • Pit Curfew will be 7:00pm each night for all who are not camping on site.
  • Dogs are ALLOWED, but must be kept on a leash or in your vehicle/trailer at all times.
  • Reserved pit spots for LAKC races do not apply to this event, and SKUSA sponsors will have priority pit placement.
  • For those who choose to attend the LAKC race the weekend before, SKUSA will work with the club to assure you have the same space for both events. Obviously this requires you to submit you pit request early in order to be accommodated. Pit requests received after 2/21 will not be able to reserve a space for both events and will be expected to move to a desiginated staging area for pitting on 2/26. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Trailer Storage

If you have a trailer that will be used for transporting karts and equipment only, and does not need to be parked inside of the pit area, there will be a $25 fee to store it in a secured outer lot of this facility. Please add that note to your pit spot request to give SKUSA advanced notice.
