Reserving Your Pit Spot
As always, the toughest part for the SKUSA staff in organizing large events each year is pit layout and fitting everyone into the paddock!
This year we’ll have the addition of the RMC America’s Trophy event the week before the SKUSA SpringNationals, so the Motorsports Country Club in Ohio will see the largest numbers ever! ALL RACERS or TEAM OWNERS can do their part now by reserving the space they will need for either or both events (as well as encouraging all drivers to get pre-registered -- before their classes cap out).
Due to the large amount of racers expected for both events, the 300SF-per-driver rule will apply. Racers and Teams will be limited to a maximum of 300 square feet per entry. Pit requests must include a list of pre-registered drivers to be considered complete (separate for each race). If you know EXACTLY how much space you will need for your pit spot, please email a complete PDF drawing (no jpg photos, please) to

. Emailed pit requests will be replied to with a confirmation upon receipt from Stan.
The prices of all pit spots are as follows:
-
$0.75/SF for ALL pit spaces
-
$300 for RV spaces RV-13 to RV-40 (18’x50’, no hookups – see map, right side)
-
RV spaces RV-2 to RV-12 have full hook ups. Contact MCC at 513-625-7223 for pricing and availability.
-
$350.00 for Toy Hauler Spaces (TH-1 to TH-6, 20’x50’ plus a parking space)
-
$150 to Camp in your pit space PLUS the pit space cost
-
$25 for trailer storage within the facility
The above prices are based individually for your stay on site for the week of the RMC America’s Trophy (6/1 thru 6/7) and/or the SKUSA SpringNationals (6/8 thru 6/15). For the cost of pit and RV spaces after 6/15, please contact Motorsports Country Club at 513-625-7223 for additional information. However:
-
For those who choose to attend both events, SKUSA will do their best to ensure that you have the same space (or your desired spaces, if they differ) for the entire time you are there. Obviously, this requires you to submit your pit request(s) early, and in writing, in order to be accommodated. Pit and/or RV space requests received after 5/18 may not be able to reserve the same space for both events.
-
PLEASE NOTE YOUR INTENTIONS IF YOU ARE ARRIVING EARLY, SO SKUSA AND MCC CAN SHARE THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
NOTE: As always, the event and class sponsors will receive priority pit spot placement, so be sure to note on your pit request if you are a confirmed sponsor.
Again, Superkarts! USA will do everything possible to ensure that you can retain your space for your entire stay at MCC. However, there are NO GUARANTEES.
The paddock area will be rows of pit spots 10’W x 40’D, so your drawing should reflect multiples of this size. Please also specify your top 3 choices for the pit spot locations you prefer (i.e., 23-27, 133-136, etc.), based on the pit map posted below. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Here are THE ITEMS TO INCLUDE ON YOUR PIT REQUEST DRAWING:
-
Full layout – with dimensions in feet – of your total pit area. PLEASE BE EXACT, AND DO NOT REQUEST MORE SPACE THAN YOU TRULY NEED. You will probably NOT be able to add space when you arrive.
-
Include space for trailer tongue, pull out generators and trailer doors (side and rear). Allow room to get the karts or other materials in and out of the doors.
-
Assume that three sides of your pit spot are fixed positions with no access. Show us how you plan on entering and exiting your pit space with your kart(s) – in relation to the pit runners shown on the map.
-
Include where tents will go, trailers, E-Z ups, VIP area, etc. NOTE: Toy Haulers will be allowed in the pits; however, if you are camping in a regular pit spot, a $150 camping fee per event will be charged in addition to the cost of the pit space. All other campers/RV’s will need to be parked in the designated RV or TH areas – NO Exceptions! See below for more info about overnight camping.
-
Tell us whether or not you’ll be renting a tent, bringing your own, or both (with notes on your drawing). See below for vendor info. Please note: your pit spot must accommodate an extra 5’ feet around your tent for the stakes.
-
NOTE: a 20x20’ tent does not fit in a 20x20’ space, allow room for the way you will secure it. Also, the generator or air conditioner you rented does not reside in the fire lane behind your pit space. Your slide-out generator, exhaust pipe, and trailer doors all must be contained within your designated pit space!
-
Include a team name and a list of the drivers that will be pitting in the spot. NOTE: Please send your pit map when it is absolutely final. All drivers MUST be registered for the race before SKUSA will confirm your pit spot location. In the event that there are multiple teams in one pit area, a designated team manager/ representative must be named as the person responsible for tent and trailer placement. We will NOT park teams on site unless and until ALL trailers are present -- or unless the team manager is present (this is the only exception).
-
Teams that want to guarantee they are pitted next to or near each other MUST submit their pit requests as ONE COMPLETE REQUEST to SKUSA – all together – with a specific note on each section of the drawing, initialed by the person submitting the request telling us that preference. NOTE: Following this process will help us achieve this goal, but it may reduce the ability to fulfill specific location requests due to size. If this is being requested by a sponsor, the sponsor must submit the request and be responsible for the entire pit invoice. We will do our best to accommodate.
-
Include on BOTH your drawing and the email message your contact’s name and best daytime contact info -- phone and email address (mobile number, PLEASE! Not just shop number).
-
Please add a note to your pit request with your arrival date.
-
A Pit space may be purchased for a team support vehicle, but with the understanding that this vehicle is not to be moved from its assigned space during the event while track is hot.
-
NOTE: NO passenger vehicles will be allowed in pit spaces, so please do not include them in your layout. Pit space is at a premium, but no-cost vehicle parking is abundant.
-
MCC has ample parking for all types of vehicles. Please list on your pit request any ADA requirements, and a pass to park in a designated Handicapped area will be issued. Please see Aaron or Stan to obtain this pass. Vehicles used to bring in supplies may do so, but must be unloaded and parked in a designated area before the first race segment of the day.
We will be in touch within 24-48 hours of your emailed request to confirm that each pit spot or camping reservation submitted has been received. Then we will contact you and secure payment with you when we have you placed on the pit map.

SKUSA has strict rules regarding fire extinguishers and fuel for this event. All pits must have a fire extinguisher – one for every 400SF of pit area (min 5lbs, type ABC) – that is visible and accessible at all times. SKUSA also requires a 20-lb fire extinguisher for each trailer over 20-ft in length. This includes all RVs.
NO fuel is allowed to be brought into this event (except a small amount of generator fuel, no more than 5 gallons per trailer). All race and practice fuel and oil will need to be purchased from MCC and SKUSA on site. All trailers will be inspected prior to pit placement to assure compliance.

Move-out for RMC customers will begin Sunday night 6/7 and 6/14 for SKUSA after the final CHECKERED FLAG – but preferably after the final podium presentation. All trailers will need to be out of the pits by end of day Monday 6/8 if only attending the RMC event and 6/15 if attending both (or just the SKUSA event). Rental tent tear-down: Monday, 6/8 and/or 6/15.
