California ProKart Challenge

RACE ENTRY

Race pre-entries may be submitted at a “packaged-price” discount through the ProKart Challenge ONLINE store. Our web-challenged friends may use our DOWNLOADABLE entry form at a slightly higher entry price.  If you have any questions, email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   or call 951-491-0808 for assistance.  NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, you have the option of clicking on the “Create New Account” link when prompted and complete the forms presented.  Then, for subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile.  SPECIAL NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.

Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the ProKart Challenge office before midnight on the Tuesday prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing.  Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Friday morning) at walk-up pricing.  See pricing below.  All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 2 business day of receipt at the PKC/SKUSA home office.  If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours, please call 951-491-0808 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.

Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on Tuesday, August 23rd.  Anyone wanting to register for the race or Friday's practice after that time will have to sign-up at the track on Thursday between 3:00-6:00pm, Friday starting at 7:00am or Saturday starting at 6:30am.

ALL CLASSES (active SKUSA membership required for race days):
  • $75 Practice Day
  • $125 Pre-Entry Race Fees
  • $160 Post-Entry / At Track Race Fees
  • $20 Transponder Rental ( If you don't have your own )
  • $222+tax per set Evinco-M ‘Red’ practice or race tires (for all classes except Mini/Micro Swift). These tires may be re-used from event to event. Practice or race tires for Mini/Micro Swift (Evinco-H ‘Blue’) are $211+tax. All tires can be picked up at the track or shipped ahead of time for $10 Shipping and Handling (within CA) or $15 (outside CA).
    Note: Race Tires MUST have the special PKC stamp to pass tech.
  • $75 SKUSA Annual Membership (must be current member)
  • $15 for 1-day or $20 for 2-day spectator passes for all guests, including mechanics (All mechanic/spectator passes will be sold at the track only, 5 years old and under are No Charge)
  • NOTE: SKUSA’s Spec Fuel (C12 for all classes) and Spec Oil (Motul 2T Grand Prix) are mandatory at this event, but are not available to purchase from PKC/SKUSA. Please make arrangements to get some from your local kart shop or team for this event.
  • Reserved pit spots will be offered at $30 each.  Reserve your pit spot here.
  • Overnight camping will be $50.  Purchase a camping pass here.
Driver Age
If the driver is less than 18 years old, you must fax a copy of his/her birth certificate to (951) 491-0809 with the application for a SKUSA membership/racing license. Be sure to check the Classes section of this site or sections 15.3 and 20.1.2 of the SKUSA Rulebook for minimum age requirements of each class.

At Santa Maria, airboxes are required for all Spec Honda classes, according to track rules.  You can use up to three (3) 29mm +/- 1mm tubes.

From the North:
Exit 101 South at Union Valley Parkway.
Turn West (Right) onto Union Valley Parkway drive 2-1/2 miles.
Turn North (Right) onto Blosser Rd drive 3/4 mile.
The Track Gate is located on the Left at the end of Blosser Rd.
Proceed West down Frontage Road Approx. 1/4 Mile to Track located on the Right.

From the South:
Exit 101 North at Union Valley Parkway.
Turn West (Right) onto Union Valley Parkway drive 2-1/2 miles.
Turn North (Right) onto Blosser Rd drive 3/4 mile.
The Track Gate is located on the Left at the end of Blosser Rd.

NOTE:  Motorized vehicles -- scooters, mini-bikes, golf karts, etc -- are NOT allowed at any time during this event (other than PKC staff vehicles). Bicycles and skateboards will be allowed, but only through the pit areas -- NOT on restricted airport property. Pets will be allowed, but must be kept inside trailers & RVs or on a leash in the pit area only. Pets are not allowed on restricted airport property and access roads.

Overnight Parking and Camping
The overnight camping fee is $50.

Reserved and Unreserved Pit Spaces
An unreserved pit space is included at no charge with your race entry, however, you will only be able to choose from the non-reserved section on a first come, first served basis. Reserved pit spots will be offered at $30 per spot.  Reservation instructions are here.

Spectator Tickets
1 and 2 day spectator passes are available at the track throughout each event. These passes include pit access, thus enriching the spectator experience through up close contact with the drivers and crew. Prices are $15 for a 1-day pass and $20 for a 2-day pass. Kids 5 and under are FREE, but everyone must sign an insurance waiver.

Pit Space Rules

  • Space reservations are on a first paid, first served basis, with PKC sponsors having priority placement.
  • All equipment must fit within your designated pit space. This includes: trailer; tents, karts, generators, etc.
  • All vehicles (tow and otherwise) must be stored/parked in the participant parking area as directed on site.
  • If you are camping on-site overnight, you will need to purchase the $50 camping spot. This is in addition to any pit spot fees required by PKC.
  • Pit space move-in starts on Thursday afternoon, August 25th at 12pm.
  • PLAN YOUR SPACE CAREFULLY — You are able to reserve a specific location(s) based on current availability.  If your space requirements subsequently change, you will be moved to the first available area that meets the new specification - which may not be anywhere near the original location. Pit space reservation priority is based on the receipt date of the location request AND payment (no payment, no reservation).
