RACE ENTRY

Race pre-entries may be submitted at a “Pre-Entry price” discount through the Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge ONLINE store. Our web-challenged friends may use our DOWNLOAD form.  If you have any questions, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or call 219-841-1367 for assistance.  NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, you have the option of clicking on the “Create New Account” link when prompted and complete the forms presented.  Then, for subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile. NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.
 
Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge office by midnight on the Monday prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing. Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Thursday afternoon) at walk-up pricing. See pricing below. All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 1-2 business days of receipt at the RMPKC/SKUSA home office. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours, please call 219-841-1367 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.
 
Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on Monday, May 19th. Anyone wanting to register for this event after that time will have to sign-up at the track on Thursday, May 22nd, 3:00pm-8:00pm or Friday, May 23rd, starting at 7:00am. 
 

Entry Fees

ALL entry fees include both Saturday & Sunday’s Race Fees and the driver’s pit pass.
  • $50 Friday Practice (Includes driver’s pit pass)
  • $170 Pre-Entry Race Fees for 1st Class - $120 for 2nd Class
  • $120 Pre-Entry Race Fees for Local Option-206
  • $200 Post-Entry / At Track Race Fees for 1st Class - $150 for 2nd Class
  • $150 Post-Entry / At Track Race Fees for Local Option-206

Additional Item Pricing

  • SKUSA Annual Membership: $75 SKUSA Membership is required for all classes except Rotax and Local Option-206
  • Rotax Membership: Drivers competing in the CRG USA Colorado Rotax points series need a US RMax license. New members can apply online at www.gorotax.com
  • Transponder Rental: $20 (If you don't have your own)
  • Race Tires: $222+tax for 1 set of MG-SK stamped race tires (for all classes except TaG Cadet, Rotax and LO-206). For TaG Cadet, the cost is $211+tax for 1 set of MG-HZ stamped race tires. Note: These competition tires MUST be stamped and purchased from the RMPKC director. These tires may be re-used from event to event. The spec rain tire for RMPKC is the MG -WT. Rain Tires MG-WT WILL NOT be available at the track. You MUST order them from the SKUSA website (with sufficient time for shipping via UPS to your location) or purchase them from a dealer prior to the event. 
  • Practice Tires: MG-SK tires are $212/set; TaG Cadet, MG-HZ tires are $203/set. Practice tires can be purchased at the Grand Junction Pro shop at the track. RMPKC urges you to patronize the host facility by purchasing practice tires at the event. RMPKC will not sell any practice tires for the event
  • MOJO Race and Practice Tires: All MOJO (Rotax points series) tires can be purchased at the GJMS pro shop, thru Billet Performance or you can provide your own.
  • LO-206 Race and Practice Tires: Tire compound is open. Rear tire size must be 11x7.10-5. Fronts can be 10x4.60-5 or 10x4-4.50-5. Tires can be purchased at the GJMS pro shop, thru Billet Performance or you can provide your own.
  • Spec Fuel & Oil: VP MS98 & Motul 2T Grand Prix oil (SKUSA classes) or VP MS93 & XPS oil (Rotax classes) -- will be available and can be purchased at the track. Local Option-206 shall use 94-octane pump gas. You provide.
  • Pit Passes: $10 (1-day), $15 (2-day), $20 (3-day)
  • Reserved and Unreserved Pit Spaces (Regional event) Pit Spots: $30 per space. Reserve through GJMS. Contact them at 970-256-0107 or Contact Grand Junction
  • Pit space move-in may start on Thursday afternoon 3pm-9pm

  • Overnight Trailer Parking and Camping: Overnight camping is allowed Contact GJMS at 970-256-0107 to reserve overnight camping and trailer parking. Camping is free for the regional event provided you have purchased a pit space

Driving Directions from the Airport
Although the track is pretty close to the Airport, most navigations systems will take you about 7 miles off track. Please use the following directions.
  • Airport roundabout take Horizon Dr. headed south.
  • Left on G Road (turns into 27 1/2 Rd).
  • Left on Patterson at light (turns into F Rd).
  • Left on 29 Rd at light.
  • The road splits but stay left on 29 Rd (do not turn on G Rd) go over canal then continue over interstate.
  • Stay to the right on the paved road and the track will be a about mile down on the left.

Course Map For This Event

NOTE: This double event weekend will utilize the same configuration as the 2013 SummerNationals. (Clockwise) The .9 mile, 32' wide asphalt sprint track offers fast straights, technical corners, and hairpin turns, ideal for intense racing or a day battling with friends or competitors

POLICIES

ADMISSION
  • All persons entering Grand Junction Motor Speedway pit area are required to purchase a pit pass.
Vehicles
  • Operators of motor vehicles must abide by all posted speed limits and traffic signs and drive or ride in a safe manner.
  • Paddock speed is 15 mph. 
  • Unlicensed drivers may not operate motor vehicles, including but not limited to automobiles, golf carts, ATVs, scooters, and motorcycles, on the Paddock.  All motor vehicle operators must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
Minors
  • All minors must be under direct adult supervision at all times.
Pets
  • All pets must be kept on a leash or in a confined space at all times.
  • The pet owner must dispose of all pet waste properly.
  • Pets are prohibited from entering any building on the property.
