RACE ENTRY

Race pre-entries may be submitted at a new “packaged-price” discount through the ProKart Challenge ONLINE store. Our web-challenged friends may use our DOWNLOADABLE entry form.  If you have any questions, email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   or call 951-491-0808 for assistance.  NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, you have the option of clicking on the “Create New Account” link when prompted and complete the forms presented.  Then, for subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile.  SPECIAL NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.

Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the ProKart Challenge office before midnight on the Wednesday prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing.  Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Friday morning) at walk-up pricing.  See pricing below.  All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 2 business day of receipt at the PKC/SKUSA home office.  If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours, please call 951-491-0808 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.

Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on Wed, February 26th,  Anyone wanting to register for the race or Friday's practice after that time will have to sign-up at the track on Friday starting at 7:00am or Saturday starting at 6:30am. 

Capped Entries - Enter Early - Don’t Miss Out!
All classes will have a maximum amount of 40 entries per race.  Entries received after a particular class is filled will be placed on a waiting list and held pending cancellation openings.  Entrants will be notified directly of any change in status or availability and offered entry on a first paid, first served basis

Entry Fees
(NOTE: see Online store for discounted $310 pricing for entry+tires combo.) 

ALL CLASSES (active SKUSA membership required for race days):
  • $60 Practice Day
  • $115 Pre-Entry Race Fees for 1st Class - $75 for 2nd Class
  • $150 Post-Entry / At Track Race Fees for 1st Class - $75 for 2nd Class
  • $20 Transponder Rental ( If you don't have your own )
  • $222+tax per set MG-SK practice or race tires (for all classes except TaG Cadet). These tires may be re-used from event to event. TaG Cadet practice or race tires (MG-HZ) are $211+tax. All tires can be picked up at the track or shipped ahead of time for $10 Shipping and Handling (within CA) or $15 (outside CA).
    Note: Race Tires MUST have the special PKC stamp to pass tech.
  • $65.50+tax for a 5gal can of VP MS98
  • $18+tax for 1L Oil Motul 2T Grand Prix
  • Special COMBO price of $77+tax for 1 MS98 fuel + 1 L Motul Oil
  • $75 SKUSA Annual Membership (must be current member)
  • NOTE: THERE IS NO CHARGE THIS EVENT for Pit Spots or Overnight Camping (Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights)
  • No reserved pit spots – all spaces are first come-first served, starting Thursday afternoon

Driver Age
If the driver is less than 18 years old, you must fax a copy of his/her birth certificate to (951) 491-0809 with the first entry of the season.  Be sure to check the Classes section of this site or sections 15.3 and 20.1.2 of the 2014 SKUSA Rulebook for minimum age requirements of each class.

From Los Angeles:  I-5 North to Highway 14 North - past Palmdale and Lancaster, CA to Rosamond, CA. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles on Rosamond Blvd. to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Riverside / San Bernadino County Areas: Go North on I-15 or I-215 to the Highway 138 (Wrightwood) exit - go West on 138 to Palmdale, CA. From Palmdale take the Highway 14 North to Rosamond, CA. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Santa Barbara / Ventura Area:  South on 101, East on 126, North on 5, East on 138, make a left turn on 90th Street West (go North), then right turn on Rosamond Blvd (first stop sign), go East approx. 1.5 mile to main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Las Vegas: South on I-15, to Highway 58 West, to Highway 14 South (at Mojave). Go approx. 15 miles South on 14 to Rosamond Blvd. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Northern California: South on I-5, to Highway 58 East, to Highway 14 South (at Mojave). Go approx. 15 miles South on 14 to Rosamond Blvd. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 75th Street West. OR, you can go over "The Grapevine" on I-5 to Highway 138, then go East to 90th Street West, turn north and go to Rosamond Blvd. Go right on Rosamond Blvd. and travel east approx. 1.5 miles to the track entrance at 3500 75th Street West off of Rosamond Blvd.)


Overnight Parking and Camping
Trailer parking and overnight camping will be available at no cost, starting Thursday night, and it will all be first come-first serve.

Willow Kart track gates will be open Thursday until 10pm, Friday and Saturday 6:30am-10pm, and Sunday starting at 6:30am for final move-out. Overnight campers must be inside the gates by closing time each night or risk being locked out.

Reserved and Unreserved Pit Spaces
We will not be running managed or reserved Pit-Spaces at this event.
 
Spectator Tickets
Normally, 1 and 2 day spectator passes are required -- and are available through the online store and at the track throughout each event. Prices are $15 for a 1-day pass and $20 for a 2-day pass. Kids 5 and under are FREE, but everyone must sign an insurance waiver.

HOWEVER: Willow Springs charges all attendees a $10 gate fee at the front entrance. Spectators will NOT have to purchase a separate pit pass from PKC at this event, as the gate fee covers their insurance wristband. Only mechanics and crew members that want access to the HOT PIT area of the track need to purchase PKC pit passes, in addition to paying the Willow Springs gate fee.

Pit Vehicles
Although PKC prefers to disallow the use of motorized vehicles in order to avoid unnecessary accidents in the pits, Willow Springs does allow motorized vehicles on their kart track premises. However, PKC reserves the right to confiscate any vehicles, motorized or otherwise, that are being unsafely used anywhere on the kart track premises.
 
Pets on Premises
Willow Springs allows pets on premises, as long as they are kept on a leash.

Pit Space Rules

  • Unreserved spaces are on a first arrive, first served basis
  • All equipment must fit within your designated pit space. This includes: trailer; tents, karts, generators, pit carts, etc.
  • All vehicles (tow and otherwise) must be stored/parked in the participant parking area North of the pit area.
  • Overnight camping will be allowed for this event at no charge, and RVs will be allowed to park with trailers in the pit area.
  • Pit space move-in starts on the Thursday afternoon prior to an event.
