| Staggering $310K Purse for 2024 Pro Tour and Exciting Format Change for Pro Classes |

This prize package builds upon what was already a massive purse in 2023, which totaled $212,000. 2024’s Pro Tour purse will see a near 50% increase. Full details about this groundbreaking prize package have also been posted. Based in part on the Kart Chaser LIVE Stream viewership data, the Pro X30 and Pro Shifter divisions will move to run only in the afternoon on all three Pro Tour weekends. This will additionally help teams in being able to share staff between their drivers in these two divisions and the Semi-Pro classes that will run in the earlier part of each day, just as teams have been able to do at the SuperNats with the split-day format used from Wednesday to Saturday. The Pro classes will feature a never-before-seen total prize package, with the massive bump coming in the form of the championship purse. In total, both X30 Pro and Pro Shifter will each have over $90,000 in cash and prizes to race for over the course of the season. And while the raceday purses will remain in paying out the Top 3 finishers, the Top 10 drivers in each division’s championship will collect prize money PLUS entry and tires for the entire 2025 SKUSA Pro Tour. Complete details of this purse will be posted today. The new format will also help build the SKUSA class ladder, as drivers that compete in either Pro X30 or Pro Shifter will no longer be allowed to race in KA100 Senior. This will eliminate any potential advantage of additional track time by competing in multiple classes, and allow KA100 Senior drivers to shine as the headline category of the Semi Pro portion of the raceday. The Semi-Pro classes aren’t being forgotten either – far from it. Their race format will remain the same as 2023 with two individual racedays featuring a warmup, qualifying session, Pre Final, and Final. However, now they will end their day approximately two hours earlier than this year with the removal of Pro X30 and Pro Shifter from the morning / early afternoon run order. As for prize money, if Micro, Mini, X30 Junior, KA100 Junior, KA100 Senior, or KA100 Master draw more than 30 entries, they will race for a $3,500 total cash purse, with $1,000 going to each raceday’s winner, $500 to 2nd, and $250 to 3rd. The same goes for Master Shifter for any race weekend where they draw more than 20 entries. This prize package was also offered this season, and in Mini Swift, KA100 Junior, and KA100 Senior, cash was given out at all 3 Pro Tour events. This new race format will put the Pro Tour’s best drivers and teams to the test. Friday will feature two lengthy practice sessions with a hot-pit, with each driver limited to a maximum of 3 sets of tires for the two practice sessions. Saturday will feature a new knockout-style qualifying format followed by a Pre Final. Based on Practice 2, drivers will be split into two equal groups for two rounds of knockout-style qualifying. In each group for Round 1 of Qualifying, 1st - 6th will transfer to Round 2, while 7th on back will line either the inside or the outside lane for the Pre Final. The 2nd Round of Qualifying will be a hot lap shootout, setting the 1st - 12th starting positions for the Pre Final. The Pre Final will be slightly longer than in the current format. Finally, Sunday will feature additional time for pre-race and post-race interviews and festivities, with a lengthened Final that will heighten the factor of tire degradation and race management for each driver. SKUSA is also excited to announce a Team Championship Prize as well. At the beginning of the season teams will declare (2) Pro drivers in each Pro class and the highest total points of their two Pro Drivers will earn them a $5,000 cash prize for Pro Shifter and Pro X30. This near 50% increase in the 2024 Pro Tour Prize Package and revised race weekend Format comes after months of productive meetings with all of our drivers, race teams, and the leadership at Kart Chaser, and after finalizing our prize package yesterday, we can finally announce it.
