If the packed paddocks at the opening two rounds of the Superkarts! USA California ProKart Challenge are any indication, this year’s SKUSA Pro Tour will once again be highlighted by record-setting entry numbers and an even higher quality of competition. The first two PKC races in SoCal topped the 150-driver mark, and the recently announced prize package of over $150,000 is the biggest ever offered by SKUSA. The opening round of the Pro Tour – the sixth annual SpringNationals – is set for May 1-3 at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association facility in Glendale, AZ. Registration for this event will open 7:00 pm PDT (10:00 pm EDT) on Sunday, March 15. Drivers planning to attend this exciting event can register via the website at that time.

All details – from Online Registration to Host Hotel info to Pit Spot Reservations – will be updated on the Pro Tour section of the website by this Sunday night, March 15, at 7:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this year’s Pro Tour, beginning with the SpringNationals. All classes will be capped at 40 entries, and some categories will surely sell out prior to the entry deadline of April 26.

Superkarts! USA Announces 2015 Pro Tour Prize Package
Monday, 02 March 2015 11:43

If you were to look at the recent history of karting in North America, you would see that the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour is the sport’s biggest success story in terms of national competition. A focus on steady growth and consistent improvement has resulted in the largest fields in recent memory, as over 230 racers took part in last year’s SpringNationals and SummerNationals. The season-ending SuperNationals has grown to monumental proportions with well over 500 drivers traveling to Las Vegas each November. In keeping with its dedication to constant evolution and improvement, Superkarts! USA is thrilled to announce that the assembled prize package for the 2015 Pro Tour season will exceed $150,000 in cash and awards.

“From the day that we launched the Pro Tour, our focus has always been on growing and improving the series so that we may one day have that professional series that karting has been looking for, something that we can market to mainstream motorsports fans to come out to see,” commented Tom Kutscher, Superkarts! USA CEO. “To that end, we’ve made some technical moves to level the playing field and lower overall costs, and we continue to cultivate partnerships with the industry to grow the prize package that we can offer to our racers. We’ve surpassed the $150,000 mark, but I’m aiming for $200,000 before we open the gates at the SpringNationals in May.”

2014 was a record breaking season for the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour. During the fifth year of the national program, driver numbers reached an all-time high at both the SpringNationals and SummerNationals. Racers enjoyed the challenging Dallas Karting Complex facility in Caddo Mills, Texas, and took on the city streets of Modesto, California for the first street race incorporated into the Pro Tour calendar. The season wrapped up with SuperNationals XVIII, the last event to be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

During the first two events of the Pro Tour, the headline categories (S1 and TaG Senior) competed for a $3,500 cash purse, a possible $30,000 purse at the SuperNationals, and a $12,000 championship purse. Honda Performance Development/HPD provided a $9,000 championship purse for the Stock Moto categories, and the TaG Cadet champion was given a ticket to the 2015 Rok Cup International Final. Each of the eight champions will be included in the 2015 SKUSA ‘Circle of Champions,’ earning a complimentary package for the Pro Tour that includes race entry fees, race tires, and race fuel/oil for all three events – valued overall at $24,000.
Superkarts! USA Confirms 2015 Pro Tour Schedule
Tuesday, 02 December 2014 12:03
It is with great excitement that Superkarts! USA confirms the dates and locations for the 2015 SKUSA Pro Tour, which will be the sixth edition of what is now the largest national series in North America. More than 340 drivers participated in either the SpringNationals in May or the SummerNationals in August, and next year’s program promises to be even larger, as SKUSA is expanding the reach of its schedule to Indiana to quench the many requests of racers around the country. The 2015 SKUSA Pro Tour will begin with the SpringNationals at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association facility in May and will then move east to the popular New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana in late July for the SummerNationals. The series will be capped once again by the SuperNationals in November, which will move to the Las Vegas Convention Center for 2015, as was announced in late October.
