Race Entry

Pre-entries and pit space reservations may be submitted through the ProKart Online Store. For our web-challenged friends, click here for a printable/faxable entry form. NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, click on the “Create New Account”  link when prompted and complete the forms presented. For subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile. SPECIAL NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.

Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the ProKart Challenge office by midnight on the Wednesday prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing. Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Friday morning) at walk-up pricing. See pricing below. All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 1 business day of receipt at the SKUSA home office. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, please call ProKart at 951-491-0808 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.

Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on May 28th.  Anyone wanting to register for the race or Friday's practice after that time will have to sign-up at the track on Friday starting at 7:00am or Saturday starting at 6:30am.

Capped Entries - Enter Early - Don’t Miss Out!
All classes will have a maximum amount of 40 entries per race. Entries received after a particular class is filled will be placed on a waiting list and held pending cancellation openings. Entrants will be notified directly of any change in status or availability and offered entry on a first paid, first served basis

Entry Fees
ALL CLASSES (active SKUSA membership required for race days)

  • $50 Practice Day
  • $99 Pre-Entry Race Fees for 1st Class - $50 for 2nd Class
    $125 Post-Entry / At Track Race Fees for 1st Class - $75 for 2nd Class
  • $20 Transponder Rental ( If you don't have your own )
  • $198 +tax/set Practice or Race Tires (may be reused from previous event) - Tires can be picked up at the track or shipped ahead of time for $10 ( Shipping & Handling - Flat Fee )
    Note: Race Tires MUST have the special PKC stamp to pass tech.
  • $60 5gal MS98+1L Oil ($65 for C12+1L Oil)
  • Everyone attending this event will have to pay the Willow Springs $10 gate fee upon arrival. In addition, any crew/mechanics who want access to the hot pit lane have to purchase PKC pit passes for this event. Spectators do not need PKC pit passes.
  • $75 SKUSA Annual Membership (must be current member)

Race entry fee includes one driver’s pit pass and one UNRESERVED pit space (first come, first served of unreserved and available pit spots).

Driver Age
If the driver is less than 18 years old, you must fax a copy of his/her birth certificate to (951) 491-0809 with the first entry of the season.  Be sure to check sections 15.3 and 20.1.2 of the 2006-07 SKUSA rule book for minimum age requirements or the Classes section of this site for minimum age requirements of each class.

From Los Angeles:  I-5 North to Highway 14 North - past Palmdale and Lancaster, CA to Rosamond, CA. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles on Rosamond Blvd. to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Riverside / San Bernadino County Areas: Go North on I-15 or I-215 to the Highway 138 (Wrightwood) exit - go West on 138 to Palmdale, CA. From Palmdale take the Highway 14 North to Rosamond, CA. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Santa Barbara / Ventura Area:  South on 101, East on 126, North on 5, East on 138, make a left turn on 90th Street West (go North), then right turn on Rosamond Blvd (first stop sign), go East approx. 1.5 mile to main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Las Vegas: South on I-15, to Highway 58 West, to Highway 14 South (at Mojave). Go approx. 15 miles South on 14 to Rosamond Blvd. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 3500 75th Street West.

From Northern California: South on I-5, to Highway 58 East, to Highway 14 South (at Mojave). Go approx. 15 miles South on 14 to Rosamond Blvd. Take the Rosamond Blvd. exit in Rosamond, and go West approx. 6 miles to the WSIR main track entrance at 75th Street West. OR, you can go over "The Grapevine" on I-5 to Highway 138, then go East to 90th Street West, turn north and go to Rosamond Blvd. Go right on Rosamond Blvd. and travel east approx. 1.5 miles to the track entrance at 3500 75th Street West off of Rosamond Blvd.)

Overnight Parking and Camping
Trailer parking and overnight camping will be available at no cost, starting Thursday night, and it will all be first come-first serve.

Willow Kart track gates will be open 10am- 5pm Thursday, 7am-10pm Friday, and 6:30am-10pm Saturday. Overnight campers must be inside the gates by closing time each night or risk being locked out.

Reserved and Unreserved Pit Spaces

We will not be running managed or reserved Pit-Spaces at this event.
 
Spectator Tickets
1 and 2 day spectator passes are available through the online store and at the track throughout each event. These passes include pit access, thus enriching the spectator experience through up close contact with the drivers and crew. Prices are $10 for a 1-day pass and $15 for a 2-day pass. Kids 5 and under are FREE, but everyone must sign an insurance waiver.

NOTE: Willow Springs charges all attendees a $10 gate fee at the front entrance. Spectators will NOT have to purchase a separate pit pass from PKC at this event, as the gate fee covers their insurance wristband. Only mechanics and crew members that want access to the HOT PIT area of the track need to purchase PKC pit passes.

This motel is affordable, offers a continental breakfast and trailer parking, and is just 8 minutes (6 miles) from the track. Mention that you are 'racing at Willow Springs' when you call for a reservation and get the discounted rate of $63.50+tax for 1 queen bed or $77+tax for 2 queens. They will also allow your pets to stay in your room for $10/night/pet.

If you are looking for a more full-service hotel with restaurant and lounge, we recommend the AVI. It is 23 minutes (20 miles) from the track, and also offers trailer parking. If you say 'Willow Springs' when you call for a reservation, you can get a room for single or double occupancy PLUS 2 drinks per adult in the lounge AND a hot buffet breakfast for just $89.99+tax. This is half off their normal rate.
 


Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policies

  • Event Fees - PKC will provide a full refund (less a 6% processing fee) OR AN EQUIVALENT VALUE ROLLOVER of paid event fees (entry, practice, pit passes, transponder rental, pit space reservation) for cancellations received on or before the applicable event day.
  • Undelivered Product - PKC will provide a full refund (less a 6% processing fee) OR AN EQUIVALENT VALUE ROLLOVER of the purchase price of undelivered hard goods (race or practice tires, race or practice fuel)for cancelled orders received on or before the applicable event day.
  • Delivered Product - PKC will provide a full refund, less shipping (if applicable) and a 10% restocking fee, for delivered hard goods (practice tires) received back by PKC (in NEW condition) that are returned within a week of the cancelled event date. The customer is responsible for return shipping or delivery charges.
  • No Refunds Available - on SKUSA membership fees.
Pit Space Rules
  • Unreserved spaces are on a first arrive, first served basis
  • All equipment must fit within your designated pit space. This includes: trailer; tents, karts, generators, pit carts, etc.
  • All vehicles (tow and otherwise) must be stored/parked in the participant parking area North of the pit area.
  • No unleashed pets allowed in the pits.
  • Pit space move-in starts on the Friday prior to an event.
