California ProKart Challenge

Round 6 - September 26-27, 2015 – Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix




RACE ENTRY

Race pre-entries may be submitted at a new “packaged-price” discount through the ProKart Challenge ONLINE store. Our web-challenged friends may use our DOWNLOADABLE entry form. NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, you have the option of clicking on the “Create New Account” link when prompted and complete the forms presented. Then, for subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile. SPECIAL NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.

Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the ProKart Challenge office before midnight on the TUESDAY NIGHT prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing. Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Friday AT 10 AM) at walk-up pricing. See pricing below. All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 2 business days of receipt at the PKC/SKUSA home office. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 48 hours, please call 951-491-0808 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.

Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on Tuesday, Sept 22nd. Anyone wanting to register for this event after that time will have to sign-up at the track between 10am and 6pm on Friday, Sept 25th or between 6:30am and 8:00am on Saturday, Sept 26th. 



Capped Entries - Enter Early - Don’t Miss Out!

All classes will have a maximum amount of 40 entries per race.  Entries received after a particular class is filled will be placed on a waiting list and held pending cancellation openings.  Entrants will be notified directly of any change in status or availability and offered entry on a first paid, first served basis

Entry Fees

ALL CLASSES: $405 Pre-Entry+Tires / $495 Walk-Up Entry+Tires
NOTE: The prices above include driver pit pass, two days of racing (Saturday and Sunday) and one (1) set of race tires. There is no Friday practice (move-in and check-in only). See Tentative Event Schedule. If you already have a set of PKC-stamped race tires, the entry price alone is $195. However, if you opt ‘out’ of the tires and then decide you need to add them later, the purchase price will be full retail plus tax.

Additional Item Pricing

  • Transponder Rental:  $20 ( If you don't have your own)
  • Pit Passes (crew and spectators) - $15 (1 day), $20 (2+ days)
  • $222+tax per set MG-SK practice or race tires (for all classes except TaG Cadet). These tires may be re-used from previous PKC events. TaG Cadet practice or race tires (MG-HZ) are $211+tax. All tires can be picked up at the track or shipped ahead of time for $10 Shipping and Handling (within CA) or $15 (outside CA).
    Note: Race Tires MUST have the special PKC stamp to pass tech.
  • $18+tax for 1L Oil Motul 2T Grand Prix
  • $75 SKUSA Annual Membership (must be current member)
  • Reserved Pit Spots (Highly Recommended) - $20 (10x20) or $40 (10x40) per spot – NOTE: everyone will have to pay for a pit spot, whether it is reserved or unreserved
  • Overnight Camping - $50 flat fee per camping vehicle – this fee is in addition to the cost of the pit spot taken up by the camping vehicle

Directions To The Track

You will want to enter Sierra Hwy from Avenue I, which is on the north end, heading south.
There will be no other access to the pits from Sierra or Lancaster Blvd. 

 

Pit Spot Reservations

Are highly encouraged, as this will be a PACKED event. You can view the pit map HERE, and then purchase your pit spots here. All spots will be either 10'x20's for $20 each or 10'x40's for $40 each, so you must purchase them in these increments. Please specify your top 3 choices for your pit spot location when you purchase them, or send an email to place your pit spot order (for pit spots over 5 in quantity). All pit spot orders will be processed in order of receipt STARTING WITH THE PKC CLASS SPONSORS. Any necessary payment arrangements/adjustments will be made upon confirmation of your pit reservation. If you only need to park a trailer after unloading into your pit spot, the location will be at no charge and will be located at the back of the pits in a secure but out-of-the-way-spot.

Overnight Camping

Will be available for this event starting Friday, Sept 25th. The overnight camping fee is a flat $50 per camping vehicle – in addition to the cost of the pit spot taken up by the camping vehicle -- and can be reserved online up until Sept 22nd at midnight - or paid at the track upon arrival. Be sure to verify your reserved camping/RV spot with your SKUSA registration representative, especially if paying on site. Please refer to the Current Pit Spot Map for available spaces then reserve your pit and/or camping spots HERE. Be sure to list your top 3 choices for each spot. PKC will give you the first available spots of your choices provided.

Pit and Parking Rules

  • Pit move-in is on Friday, Sept. 25th from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday from 6:30am to 7:30am. Move-out will be Sunday night (after final checkered flag) and Monday morning (starting at 8am).
  • Registration check-in is 10am to 6pm on Friday, Sept. 25th, and will resume at 6:30am on Saturday. 
  • There will be no passenger vehicles allowed in the pits for the race weekend, so please plan to park any cars or trucks outside of the pit area after move-in. 
  • PKC is prohibiting the use of all pit vehicles – motorized and non-motorized – at this event. Exceptions will be made for SKUSA staff, vendors, motor builders, and anyone with an authorized ‘handicapped’ vehicle placard. 
  • Dogs are allowed in the pits, but must be kept on a leash or in a trailer or camping vehicle at all times; please clean up after your pet. No pets allowed on grid or in tech. 
  • You may leave used tires and empty fuel cans on site in the designated recycling containers only, or take them home with you. Never leave them in or near trash cans in the pits.
  • EVERYONE inside the pits must have an insurance armband from PKC -- no exceptions! See pricing below. FREE spectator areas will be located outside of the fenced-in pit area. 
  • No Alcohol in the Pits: This race event will include a city-wide festival, with food and drink vendors located throughout the area surrounding the track. However, due to insurance restrictions, open containers of alcohol are NOT allowed in the pits while karts are moving on track. 
  • All pits require a fire extinguisher per SKUSA rule 10.4.1.3.1.

Air Boxes

For all motos, the silencer is open spec and air boxes are not required at this event.

Spectator Tickets

1-day and all-weekend spectator passes are available through the online store (up until Tuesday night, Sept 22nd at midnight) and at the track throughout the event (at the same pricing). These passes include pit access, thus enriching the spectator experience through up close contact with the drivers and crew. Prices are $15 for a 1-day pass and $20 for the entire weekend event (up to 3 days). Kids 5 and under are FREE, but everyone must sign an insurance waiver and wear the applicable wristband throughout the event while in the pits.

Pit Space Rules

  • Space reservations are on a first paid, first served basis
  • Unreserved spaces are on a first arrived, first served basis – and will still need to be paid for on site, once parked
  • All equipment must fit within your designated pit space. This includes: trailer, tents, karts, generators, etc.
  • All vehicles (tow and otherwise) must be stored/parked in the participant parking area North of the pit area.
  • If you are camping on-site overnight, you will need to pay a flat $50 camping fee for this event, either thru the online shopping kart (up until Tues 9/23 at midnight) or at the track upon arrival – in addition to the pit spot price.
  • Pit space move-in starts on Friday, September 26th at 10am.
  • PLAN YOUR SPACE CAREFULLY — You are able to reserve a specific location(s) based on current availability.  If your space requirements subsequently change, you will be moved to the first available area that meets the new specification - which may not be anywhere near the original location. Pit space reservation priority is based on the receipt date of the location request AND payment (no payment, no reservation).
