A great day of racing completed Friday outside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas with the first two rounds of heat racing on the docket for the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVIII presented by MG Tires. Perfect weather conditions with a little bit of a chill later in the day once the sun went down and the lights turned up, but the action on track was hot with the nine categories finishing their first two rounds of racing. Keeping mistakes to a minimum was the objective of the day, with a few drivers standing out as solid contenders as the race weekend continues.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

The 2014 Superkarts! USA SuperNationals completed the second day of competition on Thursday, following the four rounds of practice on Wednesday, followed by three more and the official timed session to line up the nine categories for the upcoming heat races. The weather was near perfect outside the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, with clear skies but a slit chill in the air with temperatures never above the 70 degree mark. The more than 500 drivers began the second stage toward SuperSunday, deciding who where they would grid up for the two days of wheel-to-wheel action.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

Thursday, 13 November 2014 22:44

Karts will be ripping around the parking lot of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in just six days as the MG Tires Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVIII will be underway. The world-renowned event is scheduled for November 19-23, with over 500 drivers from all across the globe ready to converge on Las Vegas. The event will also serve as the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour series finale, which helps to boost the total prize package for the 18th annual event to eclipse the $100,000 mark.

“We are getting closer and closer, and the excitement is building with every minute as we get ready to travel to Las Vegas and begin building from the ground up the SKUSA SuperNationals XVIII,” stated Superkarts! EKN EXCLUSIVE: IndyCar’s Andretti to Fill In for Speed at SKUSA SuperNationals XVIII
Thursday, 13 November 2014 22:35

IndyCar's Marco Andretti is scheduled to compete at the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals XVIII

What began as vague online statement with a ‘tweet’ on Tuesday afternoon was confirmed by Superkarts! USA later in the day when EKN learned that Verizon IndyCar Series driver Marco Andretti would replace the entry for Global Rallycross pilot Scott Speed for this year’s SuperNationals XVIII. Speed, a three-time winner of the event, was scheduled to compete in a PSL Karting/Diede Racing CRG in the S1 Pro Stock Moto category. An engagement in Germany has cancelled his plans to return to the class that he won in 2000, which was followed by a SuperPro victory in 2001, both at the now-closed XPlex facility.
