Attention SKUSA racers! Tonight at midnight is the cut-off to pre-register at our MSR link for our ProKart Challenge competitors’ FAVORITE summertime racing destination: Santa Maria!
All event info is posted on the Santa Maria Event Page. Don’t forget to reserve your pit spot or on-site camping thru the SKUSA online STORE by tonight, as well.
Entries will open later this weekend for the SummerNationals at New Castle, so watch for that info to be posted soon, as well.

The halfway point is here for the California ProKart Challenge with the first three rounds of the 2017 championship chase in the books. The remaining three events are on the horizon, with the Superkarts! USA regional program heading back to the Santa Maria Kart Track on July 7-8, home of the Santa Maria Karting Association. A number of the 10 championship battles remain up for grabs with only a select few with a chance to battle down the stretch for the titles. A number of series regulars are at the IKF Sprint Grand Nationals at Santa Maria this weekend, working for a chance at earning the prestigious ‘Duffy’ trophy while putting in work preparing for the California PKC event.

New for this year will of course be the inaugural SKUSA Florida Winter Series. The new mini championship is a standalone four race series where a points leader will be crowned. There will be one drop, with the best three of four races counting towards championship points. The races will run very much like any national ProTour event, with classes and purse structure details coming soon.

X30 Senior and X30 Junior - In all official track sessions (practice, qualifying, heats and final) the Pushback system must be installed. Failure to have it installed in official practice sessions may result in the loss of practice sessions.
In qualifying, heat(s), and the final, each driver must enter the pre-grid or grid area with the front fairing detached from their kart. The mechanic or the driver himself/herself must mount the front fairing without the use of tools under the supervision of the grid steward(s). The fairing will be inspected for modification or excessive wear.

It was a hot return for the California ProKart Challenge to the CalSpeed Karting Center. The third stop of the 2017 championship series marked its first trip back to Fontana, California since 2010. Temperatures were on the rise during the June 2-3 event, testing the limits of both man and machine. Los Angeles Karting Championship competitors and alumni marked the event as their own, taking nine of the 11 victories Saturday afternoon, including a number of series first-time winners, helping to heat up the championship chases at the halfway mark.
