Reserving Your Pit Spot

As always, the toughest part for the SKUSA staff in organizing large events each year is laying out and fitting everyone into the pits! Please use this page as a guideline that will simplify this experience for both you and SKUSA!

Once again, our Winter Series Rounds 3&4 at Homestead Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL will see large numbers for this event. ALL RACERS or TEAM OWNERS can do their part now by reserving the space they will need (as well as encouraging all drivers to get pre-registered for the event - before their classes cap out at 44)!

The price of all pit and/or camping spots are as follows:
  • $.50/SF for pit spaces A-1 to A-26 and A-35 to A-51
  • $.35/SF for all other pit spaces (B-1 to F-53)
  • $300 per space for VIP RVs (Spaces are 20’x60', which includes a place to park one vehicle.) See map for these prime locations. (no hookups)
  • $200 per space for regular RV spots (Row E, no hookups)
  • $50 to Camp in your Toy Hauler/Trailer. PLUS the pit space cost.
Please specify your top 3 choices for the pit and/or camping spot locations you prefer (i.e., A23-26, B34-38 etc), based on the AVAILABLE SPOTS on the pit map posted below. We will do our best to accommodate you.

What to include on your pit request is described below.

NOTE: The event & class sponsors will receive priority pit spot placement, so be sure to note on your pit request if you are a sponsor, or if you’d like information on becoming one. Here are the items to include on your pit request:
  • Tell us whether or not your team will be practicing the weekend PRIOR, during the AMR Motorplex Pre-Event Practice. SKUSA will be working closely with the Homestead team to assure we get you in the correct/same spot for both events – or for however long you plan on staying at the facility.
  • A complete drawing sent as a PDF file is mandatory. (No photos please)!
  • Full layout - with dimensions in feet - of your total pit area. PLEASE BE EXACT, AND DO NOT REQUEST MORE SPACE THAN YOU TRULY NEED. You will likely NOT be able to add space when you arrive.
  • Include where tents will go, trailers, E-Z ups, VIP area, etc.
  • Show pit exits with relation to the track.
  • Include space for trailer tongue and doors.
  • Include a team name and a list of the drivers that will be pitting in your spot. NOTE: Please send your pit map when it is absolutely final.
  • Pit assignments are placed by date received at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If your request is sent back incomplete or you choose to resubmit due to changes, your request will be prioritized by latest date received and deemed final by yourself and SKUSA. Changes will affect the original date.
  • Teams that want to Guarantee they are pitted next to or near each other MUST submit their pit request as ONE COMPLETE REQUEST to SKUSA at the same time with a specific note on each drawing, initialed by person submitting the request telling us that preference. NOTE: Following this process will allow us to achieve this goal – but will reduce the ability to fulfill exact row placement. The entire pit space invoice will also be the responsibility of the person submitting the request. Additionally, if this is being requested by a sponsor, the sponsor must submit the request and be responsible for the entire pit invoice. So, if you want to pit with or next to your buddy, decide who is sending in the pit request as this is who we will invoice.
  • In the event that there are multiple teams in one pit area, a designated team manager/representative must be named as the person responsible for tent and trailer placement. We will NOT park teams on-site unless and until ALL trailers are present. Or unless the team manager/person invoiced is present (Only Exception).
  • Include your contact name and best daytime contact info on your drawing (cell phone and email).
  • Tell us whether or not you'll be renting a tent, bringing your own, or both. See below for vendor info.
We will be in touch to confirm each pit reservation submitted, and will secure payment with you when we have you placed on the pit map BY SENDING YOU AN INVOICE VIA QUICKBOOKS FROM TPK PROMOTIONS. Please watch for this email and respond with payment promptly; otherwise, your spot may be given away.

NOTE: NO passenger vehicles will be allowed in the pits, so please do not include them in your layout. If possible, one ‘ team support’ vehicle may be allowed per team. However, in some cases the vehicle may be located close to but not directly within the pit space. If this option is something that is of interest to you, please include a note with your pit request. ALL other vehicles will be parked as close as possible.

Tents

The EXCLUSIVE rental tent and rental equipment vendor for this event will be Diamonette Party Rental. Visit their website for all current pricing and items they provide. NOTE: You will want to confirm your pit size and location with the SKUSA office prior to finalizing your tent rental, although it's a good idea to check tent availability, space requirements and pricing right away in order to submit the most accurate pit layout. Remember, a 20x20' tent does not fit in a 20x20' space. Room is needed for staking.

Vendors

Vendor space pricing begins at $300 for a basic 10x20’ space (no utility hook-ups), and may include a per-SF pit space fee, as well. Trailer Storage

If you have a trailer that will be used for transporting karts and equipment only, and does not need to be parked inside of the pit area, Homestead Speedway has plenty of space to park the trailer at no charge. However, it will not be in a secured area. Trailers parked inside the fenced paddock will be invoiced at the same rate of $.35/SF. 

Move in Schedule

The facility will be closed to all Winter Series attendees and karting activity on Monday, February 6th.
Early arrivals may park in the designated staging area (see pit map for location).
Pit move-in will begin on Tuesday, February 7th from noon to 6pm, with big rigs parked first.
Pit move-in will continue Wednesday and Thursday, February 8th and 9th, from 8am to 6pm, and must be complete by 6pm Thursday.
Optional practice days are being offered by the track Wednesday and Thursday, February 8th and 9th. See the online Tentative Event Schedule and Contact AMR Motorplex for specific times (and fees). Move out may begin Sunday night, February 12th, after the final checkered flag. Teams who wish to stay longer, please contact AMR Motorplex.

NOTE: RVs parked in the VIP RV spaces located on SW 336th St cannot park in place until Tuesday, February 7th and must be moved by Monday, February 13th by 1pm as the road shall be cleaned and re-opened to traffic Tuesday morning.

Early Arrivals – Require 100% Paid Invoices

Superkarts! USA and AMR Motorplex understand that some racers and teams may wish to arrive early for testing prior to the event. We also understand that it makes it much easier on everyone involved if you can move into the pit space you reserved immediately upon arrival. In order to achieve this, your pit space invoice MUST BE PAID IN FULL AND IN ADVANCE.

SKUSA will work closely with the host facility to get you situated. However, no trailers will be placed in their assigned space until confirmation of payment has been received by the Superkarts! USA main office.
