Homestead Pit Spot Reservations (Feb)

Reserving Your Pit Spot

As always, the toughest part for the SKUSA staff in organizing large events each year is laying out and fitting everyone into the pits! Please use this page as a guideline that will simplify this experience for you.

Rounds 3 & 4 of the 2020 SKUSA WINTER SERIES at Homestead Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL will again see large numbers for this event. ALL RACERS or TEAM OWNERS can do their part now by reserving the space they will need (as well as encouraging all drivers to get pre-registered for the event - before their classes cap out at 44)!

The price of all pit spots are as follows
  • $.30/SF for ALL pit spaces
  • $300 per space for VIP RVs (Space is 20x50' which includes a place to park one vehicle). See map for these prime locations along the street on the left side.
  • $150 per space for RV's (no hookups) – Row 5 or in the grass.
  • $50 to Camp in your Toy Hauler/Trailer/Pit Vehicle, PLUS the pit space cost.
  • Please specify your top 3 choices for the pit spot locations you prefer (i.e., A23-26, 34-38 etc), based on the pit map posted below. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Once you have determined EXACTLY how much space you will need for your pit and/or camping spot, please email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. What to include on your pit request is described below.

NOTE: The event & class sponsors will receive priority pit spot placement, so be sure to note on your pit request if you are a sponsor, or if you’d like information on becoming one. Here are the items to include on your pit request:
  • A complete drawing sent as a PDF file. (No jpg photos please)!
  • Full layout - with dimensions in feet - of your total pit area. PLEASE BE EXACT, AND DO NOT REQUEST MORE SPACE THAN YOU TRULY NEED. You will probably NOT be able to add space when you arrive.
  • Include where tents will go, trailers, E-Z ups, VIP area, etc
  • Show pit exits with relation to the track.
  • Include space for trailer tongue and doors.
  • Include a team name and a list of the drivers that will be pitting in your spot. NOTE: Please send your pit map when it is absolutely final. 
  • Pit assignments are placed by date received at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If your request is sent back incomplete or you choose to resubmit it due to changes, your request will be prioritized by latest date received and deemed final by yourself and SKUSA. Changes will affect the original date.
  • Teams that want to Guarantee they are pitted next to or near each other MUST submit their pit request as ONE COMPLETE REQUEST to SKUSA at the same time with a specific note on each drawing, initialed by person submitting the request telling us that preference. NOTE: Following this process will allow us to achieve this goal but will reduce the ability to fulfill exact row placement. The entire pit space invoice will also be the responsibility of the person submitting the request. Additionally, if this is being requested by a sponsor, the sponsor must submit the request and be responsible for the entire pit invoice. So if you want to pit with or next to your buddy, decide who is sending in the pit request as this is who we will invoice.
  • In the event that there are multiple teams in one pit area, a designated team manager/ representative must be named as the person responsible for tent and trailer placement. We will NOT park teams on site unless and until ALL trailers are present. Or unless the team manager/person who was invoiced is present (Only Exception.)
  • Include your contact name, email address AND best daytime contact phone number on your drawing or in the email itself
  • Tell us whether or not you'll be renting a tent, bringing your own, or both. See below for vendor info.

We will be in touch to confirm each pit/camping reservation submitted, and will secure payment with you when we have you placed on the map.

NOTE: NO passenger vehicles will be allowed in the pits (other than those with a VIP RV spot, handicapped vehicles, or staff supply vehicle), so please do not include them in your layout. If possible, one team support vehicle MAX will be allowed per team. However, in some cases the vehicle may be located close to but not directly on the pit space. If this option is something that is of interest to you, please include a note with your pit request. ALL other vehicles will be parked as close as possible.


The EXCLUSIVE rental tent and rental equipment vendor for this event will be Diamonette Party Rental. Visit their website for all current pricing and items they provide. NOTE: You will want to confirm your pit size and location with the SKUSA office prior to finalizing your tent rental, although it's a good idea to check tent availability, space requirements and pricing right away in order to submit the most accurate pit layout. Remember, a 20x20' tent does not fit in a 20x20' space. Room is needed for staking.

Trailer Storage

If you have a trailer that will be used for transporting karts and equipment only, and does not need to be parked inside of the pit area, Homestead Speedway has plenty of space to park the trailer at no charge. However, it will not be in a secured area. Trailers parked inside the fenced paddock will be invoiced at the same rate of $.30/SF. 

Move in Schedule

The facility will be closed to all Winter Series competitors and karting activity Monday February 3rd.
Early arrivals may park in the designated staging area (see pit map for location).
Pit move-in will begin on Tuesday February 4th from noon to 6pm, big rigs first.
Will continue Wednesday, February 5th 8am till 6pm.
Will continue Thursday February 6th at 8am and must be complete by 6pm...
Optional practice days are being offered Wednesday February 5th and Thursday February 6th. Contact AMR Motorplex for specific times and fees. Move out will begin Sunday night, February 9th, after the final podium presentation (approx. 6pm). Teams or rigs who wish to stay longer, please contact AMR Motorplex.

NOTE: RVs parked in the VIP RV spaces located on SW 336th Street must be moved by Monday February10th at 5pm as the road shall be reopened to traffic Tuesday morning.
