California ProKart Challenge

Round 6 - September 28-29, 2013 – Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix

RACE ENTRY

Race pre-entries may be submitted at a new “packaged-price” discount through the ProKart Challenge ONLINE store. Our web-challenged friends may use our DOWNLOADABLE entry form. If you have any questions, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 951-491-0808 for assistance. NOTE: If this is your first transaction through the online store, you have the option of clicking on the “Create New Account” link when prompted and complete the forms presented. Then, for subsequent transactions, just enter the login ID and password you created to retrieve your stored entry profile. SPECIAL NOTE: Login ID and password cannot contain blank spaces.

Pre-Entry – Enter Before the Cut-Off and Save!
The definition of a “PRE-ENTRY” is an entry received, with payment, at the ProKart Challenge office before midnight on the Wednesday prior to the event, and will qualify for the pre-entry pricing. Entries after this cut-off will have to be submitted at the event (starting Friday noon) at walk-up pricing. See pricing below. All race pre-entries will be confirmed via email within 1 business day of receipt at the PKC/SKUSA home office. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, please call 951-491-0808 to confirm that your entry has been received and is in process.

Pre-Entry closes at Midnight on Wed, Sept 25th.  Anyone wanting to register for this event after that time will have to sign-up at the track between 10am and 6pm on Friday, Sept 27th or between 6:30am and 7:30am on Saturday, Sept 28th.  



Capped Entries - Enter Early - Don’t Miss Out!

All classes will have a maximum amount of 40 entries per race.  Entries received after a particular class is filled will be placed on a waiting list and held pending cancellation openings.  Entrants will be notified directly of any change in status or availability and offered entry on a first paid, first served basis

Entry Fees

ALL CLASSES: $395 Pre-Entry / $595 Walk-Up (See online store – this is a discounted ‘package’ price.)
NOTE: The prices above include driver pit pass, two (2) days of racing (Sat-Sun) and one (1) set of race tires. There is no Friday practice (move-in and check-in only). If you already have a set of PKC-stamped race tires, the entry price alone is $195.


Additional Item Pricing

  • Transponder Rental:  $20 ( If you don't have your own)
  • Pit Passes (crew and spectators) - $15 (1 day), $20 (2+ days)
  • $212+tax per set MG-SK practice or race tires (for all classes except TaG Cadet). These tires may be re-used from event to event. TaG Cadet practice or race tires (MG-HZ) are $203+tax. All tires can be picked up at the track or shipped ahead of time for $10 Shipping and Handling (within CA) or $15 (outside CA).
    Note: Race Tires MUST have the special PKC stamp to pass tech.
  • $65.50+tax for a 5gal can of VP MS98 (Rotax racers in TaG Senior and Master can bring and use their own MS93)
  • $18+tax for 1L Oil Motul 2T Grand Prix
  • Special COMBO price of $77+tax for 1 MS98 fuel + 1 L Motul Oil
  • $75 SKUSA Annual Membership (must be current member)
  • Reserved Pit Spots (Highly Recommended) - $20 (10x20) or $40 (10x40) per spot
  • Overnight Camping - $50 per spot

Driver Age

If the driver is less than 18 years old, you must fax a copy of his/her birth certificate to (951) 491-0809 with the first entry of the season.  Be sure to check the Classes section of this site or sections 15.3 and 20.1.2 of the 2008-2010 SKUSA Rulebook for minimum age requirements of each class.

Directions To The Track

You will want to enter Sierra Hwy from Avenue I, which is on the north end, heading south.
There will be no other access to the pits from Sierra or Lancaster Blvd. 

 

Pit Spot Reservations

Are highly encouraged, as this will be a PACKED event. You can view the pit map HERE, and then purchase your pit spots here. All spots will be either 10'x20's for $20 each or 10'x40's for $40 each, so you must purchase them in these increments. Please specify your top 3 choices for your pit spot location when you purchase them, or send an email to place your pit spot order. All orders will be processed in order STARTING WITH THE PKC CLASS SPONSORS. Any necessary payment arrangements/adjustments will be made upon confirmation of your pit reservation.
 

Overnight Camping

Will be available for this event starting Friday, Sept 27th. The overnight camping fee is a flat $50 per vehicle, and can be reserved online up until Sept 25th at midnight - or paid at the track upon arrival. Be sure to verify your reserved camping/RV spot with your SKUSA registration representative. Please refer to the Current Pit Spot Map for available spaces then reserve your spot HERE.

Pit and Parking Rules

Pit move-in and Registration check-in are FRIDAY, Sept. 27, from 10 am to 6pm. There will be no passenger vehicles allowed in the pits for the race weekend, so please plan to park any cars or trucks outside of the pit area after move-in. Only golf carts driven by licensed and insured drivers -- or bikes (motorized and non-motorized) operated in a safe manner -- will be allowed in the pits. NO scooters, razors, roller skates or skateboards in the pits, PLEASE! Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash or in a trailer at all times; please clean up after your pet. DO NOT leave empty fuel cans on site. You may deposit used tires in designated tire recycling containers only -- never in or near trash cans. EVERYONE inside the pits must have an insurance armband from PKC -- no exceptions! See pricing below. FREE spectator areas will be located outside of the fenced-in pit area. All pits require a fire extinguisher.

Air Boxes

For all motos, the silencer is open spec and air boxes are not required at this event.

Spectator Tickets

1-day and all-event spectator passes are available through the online store and at the track throughout the event. These passes include pit access, thus enriching the spectator experience through up close contact with the drivers and crew. Prices are $15 for a 1-day pass and $20 for the entire event (up to 3 days). Kids 5 and under are FREE, but everyone must sign an insurance waiver.

Pit Space Rules

  • Space reservations are on a first paid, first served basis
  • Unreserved spaces are on a first arrive, first served basis
  • All equipment must fit within your designated pit space. This includes: trailer; tents, karts, generators, pit carts, etc.
  • All vehicles (tow and otherwise) must be stored/parked in the participant parking area North of the pit area.
  • If you are camping on-site overnight, you will need to pay a $50 camping fee, either thru the online shopping kart, or at the track upon arrival
  • Pit space move-in starts on Friday, September 27th at 10am.
  • PLAN YOUR SPACE CAREFULLY — You are able to reserve a specific location(s) based on current availability.  If your space requirements subsequently change, you will be moved to the first available area that meets the new specification - which may not be anywhere near the original location. Pit space reservation priority is based on the receipt date of the location request AND payment (no payment, no reservation).
