As announced prior to the 2011 Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix and Supernats 15, SKUSA has now gone to a new spec rain tire for the 2012 season and beyond. The original press release, along with additional information, can be found by clicking HERE.

 

Just as a courtesy reminder to all PKC and SKUSA racers, in the event that a 'rain race' is declared by the race director, the official spec 'rain' tire starting with the 2012 season is the new MG-WT "wet" tire ONLY (although the older MG-WZ rain tire will also be allowed). This means that Bridgestone tires are no longer accepted. Also as previously announced, SKUSA has inventoried an initial supply of the new MG-WT rain tires at an introductory price of $165 per set. As of the time of this post, there are approx. 20 sets left at the introductory price. Once this supply is gone, the tires will retail for $218/set+tax ($212 for TaG Cadets).
